TRIBUTE TO A FALLEN GEM
Across the Bridge,
there is no sorrow,
Across the Bridge,
There is no more pain,
The sun will shine,
Across the river, you'll never be unhappy again.
It is painful and sorrowful but with total submission to the Almighty
God to be writing this tribute so early for our departed friend, brother and classmate:
Pastor Isaac Toluwase Ekundayo Mogaji.
Pastor Tolu was our set chairman (OGSA 1974/79 set) till death came calling on that fateful day.
He served us dutifully, passionately, diligently and purposefully without leaving any stone unturned.
He was a loving and caring man, a problem solver, a cheerful giver and a man of God to the core!
He sacrificed everything to unite and make us a happy family born of different parents for over forty years! We are friends from our youths.
It is so hard to believe that you are gone so soon.
Your passing leaves a vacuum in our hearts that only God can fill for us.
Tolu, though you are no more with us but the legacy you left behind and exemplary life you lived, lives on.
We are short of words to express the pain we are feeling right now but we find solace in this biblical verse " The righteous are taken before the evil days"(Isaiah 57:1-2).
We miss you and you will always be, our able chairman.
Keep resting in the blossom of the Lord until we meet at The Lord’s feet, to part no more.
